Covid-19 daily report: 5,071 new cases, 10 deaths and positivity reaches 10.69%

The Ministry of Health (Minsal) published this Monday morning the daily report on the situation of the pandemic in the country. The portfolio reported that there were 5,071 new cases and 10 deaths in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, positivity at the national level reached 10.69%, while in the metropolitan region it reached 14.10%.

Of the total new cases, 2,577 correspond to symptomatic people and 626 do not present symptoms. In addition, 1,868 Positive PCR tests were registered that were not reported.

The variation of new confirmed cases at the national level is 33% and 88% for the comparison of seven and 14 days, respectively. Meanwhile, two regions have decreased their cases in the last seven days and one has done so in the last two weeks.

The total number of people who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the country reaches 3,698,667. Of this total, 33,886 patients are in the active stage. The recovered cases are 3,605,799.

Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 10 deaths from causes associated with Covid-19. The total number of deaths amounts to 57,887 in the country.

Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, the results of 47,341 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported yesterday, reaching a total of 38,539,329 analyzed nationwide to date. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 10.69% and in the Metropolitan region it is 14.1%.

To date, 132 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 80 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 328 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are located.
