Covid-19 daily report: 3,820 new cases and 43 deaths in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health (Minsal) published this morning the daily report on the situation of the pandemic in the country. In the report, they indicated that there were 3,820 new infections in the last 24 hours, in addition to 43 deaths from causes associated with the disease.

Of the total number of infected, 2,197 correspond to symptomatic people and 597 do not present symptoms. In addition, 1,026 Positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified. In addition, 15,790 patients are in the active stage.

The variation of new confirmed cases at the national level is -34% and -59% for the comparison of seven and 14 days, respectively. Meanwhile, all regions have decreased their cases in the last seven and 14 days.

For its part, the positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 5.71% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 6.03%.

Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 43 deaths from causes associated with COVID-19. The total number of deaths amounts to 56,955 in the country.

To date, 464 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 346 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 307 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are located.

With regard to health residences, there are 34 accommodation facilities, with a total of 3,123 beds. The actual occupation at the national level is 29%, leaving a total of 1,848 beds available for use.
