In the last 24 hours, 51 deaths and 8,068 positive diagnoses of the disease were confirmed, totaling 30,338,697 people infected with the new coronavirus (covid-19) since the beginning of the pandemic. Yesterday (21), the pandemic information panel administered by the ministry had 30,330,629 accumulated cases.
The number of cases under follow-up is 323,308. The term is given to designate cases reported in the last 14 days that were neither discharged nor progressed to death.
There are still 3,126 deaths under investigation. The deaths under investigation occur due to the fact that there are cases in which the patient died, but the investigation into the cause of covid-19 is still ongoing.
To date, 29,352,832 people have recovered from Covid-19, according to official data. The number corresponds to 96.8% of those infected since the beginning of the pandemic.
The numbers of new cases and deaths in general are lower on Sundays, Mondays and the days following holidays due to the reduction of teams to feed the data.
