The Covid-19 Panorama, released this Friday (29) by the Secretary of Health of the State of Rio de Janeiro, shows that the early indicators of the disease are falling. The exception was the number of visits to cases of flu syndrome in the Emergency Care Units (UPAs) of the state network, which showed an increase of 6% compared to the last week, which indicates stability, since in the previous week there was a drop of 39%. The analysis considers data recorded in the week of July 18-24.
“The scenario of covid-19 in the state continues with a downward trend. The data on care in UPAs had a slight increase, but compatible with this winter period. It is important that the population continues to look for health posts to complete the vaccination schedule. This week, the Secretary of Health recommended the application of the second booster dose for all people aged 18 years and over”, said Secretary of State for Health, Alexandre Chieppe.
Antigen and RT-PCR positivity rates maintain the downward trend. Between the 18th and 24th of July, an average of 5,000 antigen tests were performed per day, with a positivity of 13%. In relation to RT-PCR, an average of 550 tests are being analyzed per day, with a positivity of 10.2%.
Requests for beds for the treatment of covid-19 also continue to decline, with an average of 11 requests per day, 7 for the ICU and 4 for the infirmary.
