Covid-19: Brazil registers 24,227 cases and 35 deaths in 24 hours

Brazil recorded 24,227 cases and 35 deaths from covid-19 in 24 hours, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the Ministry of Health. The numbers released by the ministry do not bring data from Bahia, the Federal District, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Roraima, São Paulo , from Piauí, Maranhão and Tocantins.

According to the bulletin, 34.26 million people have recovered from covid-19, which represents 97% of those infected. There are still 413,424 cases under follow-up, which is 1.1% of cases.

States

São Paulo is the Federation unit that registers the highest number of cases and deaths, with 6.2 million and 176,356, respectively. Next, in relation to the largest number of cases, appears Minas Gerais (3.93 million) and Paraná (3.79 million). The lowest numbers of cases were registered in Acre (154,671), Roraima (179,519) and Amapá (181,738).

Regarding the number of deaths, the second state with the highest number of deaths is Rio de Janeiro (76,143) followed by Minas Gerais (63,995). The lowest rates are in Acre (2,032), Amapá (2,165) and Roraima (2,177).

Vaccination

According to the Ministry of Health, 494.33 million doses of vaccine against covid-19 were applied. Of this total, 181.03 million are for the first dose, 163.5 million for the second dose and 5.02 million for a single dose.

The booster dose was 101.48 million, the second booster dose was 38.38 million and the additional dose 4.91 million.
