State and municipal health departments recorded 75,139 new cases of covid-19 and confirmed 284 deaths from complications associated with the disease in the last 24 hours across the country. The data are in the update released this Friday (1st) by the Ministry of Health. According to the folder, the state of Mato Grosso do Sul did not send the balance of deaths this Friday.
With the new information, the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus during the pandemic amounts to 32,434,063.
The number of cases of covid-19 in follow-up is at 888,681. The term is given to designate cases notified in the last 14 days in which there was no discharge or death.
With today’s figures, the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 671,700. There are still 3,241 deaths under investigation. The occurrences involve cases in which the patient died, but the investigation if the cause was covid-19 still requires additional tests and procedures.
So far, 30,873,682 people have recovered from Covid-19. The number corresponds to 95.3% of those infected since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to the balance sheet of the Ministry of Health, the state that records the most deaths from covid-19, so far, is São Paulo, with 170,994 deaths. Then come Rio de Janeiro, with 74,157; Minas Gerais, with 62,170; Paraná, with 43,803; and Rio Grande do Sul, with 40,040.
The states with the fewest deaths resulting from the disease are: Acre, with 2,004; Amapá, with 2,140; Roraima, with 2,153; Tocantins, with 4,168; and Sergipe, with 6,359.
Vaccination
So far, 453,678,213 doses of vaccines against covid-19 have been applied, with 178.2 million as a first dose, 161.1 million as a second dose and 4.9 million as a single dose. The booster dose has already been given to 94.8 million people and the second extra dose, or fourth dose of the vaccine, 10.1 million.
