Covid-19: Brazil records 20,300 cases and 57 deaths in 24 hours

Data released by the Ministry of Health this Sunday (27) indicate that, in 24 hours, 20,385 new cases and 57 deaths from covid-19 were registered in the country. Also according to the bulletin, 34,205,157 people have recovered from the infection (97.2% of the total) and 293,393 patients are being monitored. The states of Ceará, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Paraíba, Piauí, Roraima, Santa Catarina and Tocantins, in addition to the Federal District, did not update the data in 24 hours.

States

The state of São Paulo leads the number of cases, with 6,190,045, followed by Minas Gerais (3.911 million) and Paraná (2.77 million). The lowest number of cases is registered in Acre (153,687), followed by Roraima (178,542) and Amapá (181,168).

The data also show that São Paulo has the highest number of deaths caused by the disease (176,165), followed by Rio de Janeiro (76,054) and Minas Gerais (63,950). Acre (2,029), Amapá (2,165) and Roraima (2,176) register the lowest number of deaths.

Vaccination

According to the ministry, so far, 493 million doses of vaccines against covid-19 have been applied, 180 million with the first dose and 163 million with the second dose. The single dose has been applied to more than 5 million people.
