The Ministry of Health made a new balance on the situation of Covid-19 in the country, where it reported 4,467 new cases, of which 2,875 correspond to symptomatic people and 526 did not present symptoms. In addition, 1,066 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,453,557 and the recovered patients reached 4,349,297 since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
In addition, the death of 12 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 60,248 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 13.01% nationwide.
As for active cases, these reached 37,241 people and PCR tests amounted to 32,206 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 43,487,719.
Meanwhile, there are 157 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 99 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, regarding the Sanitary Residences, there are 2,113 total beds and a total of 732 beds available for use.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 9.45%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Araucanía, Coquimbo and Antofagasta.
