The Ministry of Health made a new balance on the situation of Covid-19 in the country, where it reported 2,415 new cases, of which 1,498 correspond to symptomatic people and 374 did not present symptoms. In addition, 643 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 3,535,534 and recovered patients reached 3,471,596 since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
On the other hand, the death of eight people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 7,283 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 4.55% nationwide.
As for active cases, these reached 8,003 people and PCR tests amounted to 50,396 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 36,543,862.
Meanwhile, there are 305 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 217 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 2,134 critical beds enabled and 329 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 5.91%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, La Araucanía, Valparaíso and Metropolitana.
