Court of Appeals rejected request for annulment of Operation Ocean

The Court of Appeals rejected a request for annulment of Operation Ocean and it’s about the declaration of the main victim of the cause, sources informed The Observer.

After the last suspension of the hearings, the defendants’ defenses presented a total of seven nullities, and now they wait for the resolution of the other six. In this case, the Justice did not make room for the nullity this Friday.

That the former prosecutor in the case, Darviña Viera, did not account for the statement of the main victim in the investigative folder, provoked days ago new nullity requests of the advance declarations of the victims.

The last hearings for Operation Ocean lasted about 13 hours and Viera was charged by the defense attorneys of concealments and untidiness.

After this accusation, Judge María Noel Tonarelli decided to suspend the hearings so that the representatives of the Public Ministry could order the investigative folder and present the missing testimony.
