A couple was arrested for being allegedly responsible for the murder of a six-year-old boy, police sources said.
In this case, the detainees are identified as Luis Enrique Rodríguez and Yosimar Valero who reside in the Caja de Agua del Baratillo sector, Candelaria municipality (Chejendé), Trujillo.
It all happened last Friday when Luis, the minor’s stepfather, and Yosimar, his mother, started an argument inside the house. In the midst of the brawl, Luis took a knife to stab the woman but he wounded the child causing his death.
The autopsy found that the minor died from a stab wound in the right subclavicular region.
Initially, Yosimar told police authorities that the boy had died due to the explosion of a cell phone battery that was thrown into the kitchen.
This version was contrasted with the scientific police investigation whose detectives completely ruled it out.
