Despite being an optional point and not a national holiday, some services will not work on Corpus Christi day. Bank agencies, for example, will be closed across the country this Thursday (16). However, the operation of banks will be normal on Friday (17).
Even date having been brought forward in the city of São Paulo, banks will not open on June 16, informed the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban).
On Corpus Christi day, only self-service areas will work, as well as digital and remote channels such as internet and mobile banking. Services by cell phone, computer and telephone will be available.
Anyone who has utility bills (water, energy, telephone, etc.) and bills due on June 16th will be able to pay them, at no extra charge, on Friday (17th).
