The body of a newborn was found on Sunday in the vicinity of Plaza de La Moneda, downtown Caracas, according to police sources.
Passers-by observed that the body was near a garbage dump and informed the authorities.
Officials of the Cicpc moved to the place, lifted the body and began the investigations.
