Uruguay registered this Thursday 907 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 8,607 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae). The positivity rate was 10.5%, although duplicate tests are also included in some people (antigen and PCR).
What’s more, there were three deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were 66 and 99 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 7,159 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
There are 6,648 active cases across the country and 42 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total positive cases, 162 correspond to the health personnel.
Of the 907 new cases, 529 were from Montevideo, 116 from Canelones, 43 from Colonia, 32 from Maldonado, 31 from Lavalleja, 23 from Durazno, 20 from Florida, 19 from Cerro Largo, 17 from Treinta y Tres, 12 from Tacuarembo, 10 from Flores, 10 from Paysandú, 10 from Rocha, eight from San José, seven from Rivera, seven from Salto, five from Río Negro, five from Soriano and three from Artigas.
All departments report infected people this Thursday, and Montevideo leads the active list with 3,515. follow him cannelloni (728), Cologne (414) and Saint Joseph (242), among others.
