Uruguay registered this Thursday 256 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 3,178 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae).
Besides, two patients with covid-19 died in the last 24 hours, aged 72 and 86 years. So far, 7,190 deaths of people with the disease have been confirmed.
There are 2,982 active cases across the country and 23 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total number of positives who are experiencing the disease, 116 correspond to health personnel.
Of the 256 new cases, 120 are from Montevideo, 27 from Canelones, 16 from Rivera, 14 from Maldonado, 13 from Lavalleja, 11 from Durazno, 10 from Cerro Largo, 9 from Colonia, 7 from Paysandú, 7 from Treinta y Tres, 6 from Rocha, 4 from Florida, 3 from San José, 3 from Tacuarembo, 2 from Salto, 2 from Soriano, 1 from Flores and 1 from Río Negro.
All departments report people with the disease this Thursday and Montevideo leads in number of active cases, with 1,450. follow him Cologne (411), cannelloni (307), Long Hill (103) and Maldonado (102).
