Coronavirus in Uruguay: 237 new cases, two deaths and 23 patients in ICU

The National Emergency System (Sinae) reported this Thursday 237 new cases of covid-19 in Uruguay. It was from the processing of 12,520 analyzes during the day.

Of the 237 new cases, 106 are from Montevideo, 30 from Canelones, 26 from Maldonado, 15 from Tacuarembó, 13 from Lavalleja, 10 from Colonia, 9 from Cerro Largo, 9 from Florida, 6 Treinta y Tres, 4 from Rivera, 4 de Rocha, 3 from Durazno, 1 from Artigas and 1 from Soriano.

This Thursday there were two deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 in Uruguay: It was a 52-year-old man and an 89-year-old woman. Both from Canelones. So far, there are 6,082 deaths diagnosed with covid-19 in Uruguay. In addition, the Sinae reported that there are 23 people who are in critical care centers (CTI).

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 9,620 correspond to health personnel. 9,481 of them have already recovered, 111 are suffering from the disease and 28 have died.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 3,872,562 tests have been processed and 394,679 positive cases of coronavirus have been registered throughout the territory. Of that total, 386,227 have already been recovered.
