Coronavirus in Uruguay: 19 deaths, 6,974 new cases and 160 patients in ICU

The National Emergency System (Sinae) reported this Monday 6,974 new cases of coronavirus in Uruguay Y 19 deaths.

Of the 6,974 new cases, 3,653 are from Montevideo, 1,025 from Canelones, 384 from Maldonado, 207 from San José, 157 from Soriano, 154 from Lavalleja, 153 from Cerro Largo, 134 from Durazno, 133 from Río Negro, 125 from Paysandú, 124 from Florida, 116 from Rivera, 110 from Tacuarembo, 99 from Colonia, 98 from Salto, 97 from Rocha, 80 from Flores, 78 from Treinta y Tres and 47 from Artigas. 17,748 analyzes were carried out.

The deceased were between 65 and 99 years old. So far they are 6,656 deaths diagnosed with covid-19 in Uruguay.

Today there are 63,036 active cases, of which 160 are hospitalized in critical care centers.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 16,031 correspond to health personnel. 15,094 of them have already recovered, 908 are experiencing the disease and 29 died.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 5,387,446 tests have been processed and 733,010 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 663,318 have already recovered.
