The infections caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus on Sunday, September 4, totaled 29 in Cuba and the discharges involved 26 patients, according to the part published today by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
The fatalities of COVID-19 remain at 8,530, so the fatality rate remains at 0.77%.
In total, 292 people remained hospitalized; Of these, 102 were suspects and 109 confirmed assets. In intensive care rooms, hardly one person was bedridden due to this pandemic.
The highest figures were reported from Holguín (14), the only province that, among the 10 territories that reported infections today, exceeds four cases.

On the contrary, Pinar del Río, Mayabeque, Sancti Spíritus, Santiago de Cuba, Guantánamo and the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality did not contribute new infections.
The laboratories processed 2,043 samples and, of the positive ones, 29 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases, while four included the patients in whom the cause of the infection was not specified. One was an imported case.
By age ranges, 17 were under 20 years old, five corresponded to the range between 20 and 39 years, three to 40 to 59 years and four were over 60.
