Copa Airlines restarted its commercial flights to Nicaragua on January 14, 2021, with the route from Panama to Managua.
The flight companies, at the time, postponed their operations in Nicaraguan territory due to the requirements established by the Daniel Ortega administration in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, and which did not correspond to the rest of the countries.
On June 16, the Ortega regime ordered a change in health policies and through the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that it would not be necessary to present the negative RT-PCR test certificate for COVID-19 to enter the country, and only It will be required to show the card that certifies the complete vaccination schedule against SARS-CoV-2.
Given this new sanitary measure, the flight companies have been resuming their operations in Nicaragua.
