We are not saying this because of the privileged minds or brave hearts that inhabit this country, but because of some reactions that have occurred on social networks worldwide: we do not understand the criticism of Shakira for her latest song, “clearly” dedicated to the soccer player and former partner.
We have mainly read two questions to the singer: not having supposedly paid all the taxes owed to the Treasury and, in relation to the song, having set a bad example for her children by making public her sentimental quarrels with her ex-partner Gerard Piqué. Regarding the first point, it must be said that the recent case of Jorge Lorenzo, former driver and motorcycling world champion, has evidenced the usual bad and infamous practices of the Spanish tax authorities.
Regarding the matter of the famous song, we do not understand above all that the criticism of Shakira comes from women -some feminists, something even more difficult to understand- because historically no problem or scandal has been created when it was men who sang and expressed their heartbreak, pain and even undigested rage. On the other hand, if Shakira does it, is it wrong? Why in some cases can music be used without qualms to denounce emotionally sad events and in other cases not?
It is also striking that some criticism of Shakira occurs now, and not when she did the same in the past with other sentimental failures, as happened with the songs “Antología” or “Si te vas”.
Since ancient times, artists have used their art to denounce facts or express criticism that they considered necessary. The artist’s soul is sacred, except for abusive, domineering and tyrannical spirits. Artists have the gift and the right to express what they think and feel, for the good of well-to-do, lazy and little thinking societies, which easily give up and kneel before what is politically correct.
The controversy sparked by Shakira’s song dedicated to Piqué confirms, on the other hand, another of the great scientific truths of the last 75 years (which of course the WHO does not dare to spread so as not to affect the interests of its generous patrons). : people are full of toxins in their body and this toxicity severely impairs the ability of humans to reason intelligently. Irrefutable proof of this is that there are people who are not shocked by the content of some reggaeton songs, but have dared, without even blushing, to vilify Shakira.
Errors are not always due to ignorance, envy or bad intentions: many times they are due to a toxicity that blocks the use of the mind to discern what is correct, what is good. Who can understand understand.
