“The sick man answered him: Sir, I don’t have anyone to get me into the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I’m trying to go, someone else has already gotten in.” Jesus said to him: get up, take your stretcher and walk” Jn. 5,7-8
In today’s gospel narration we see how Jesus pities a man, who prostrated himself for so many years, could not quickly enter the pool to achieve grace. And he himself tells her that he had no one to help him…. How many of our brothers today are also in the same situation, feeling alone, without the necessary help to be able to walk, to be able to reach what they need. In the text, Jesus, upon hearing his story, gives him hope as he approaches and also helps him by healing him. Today we can be Jesus in the lives of those who find themselves in similar situations. Let’s get closer, be supportive, fraternal and practice mercy. Peace and good.
