Construction of the new Amador Guerrero hospital is 18% complete

During a tour of the project under construction of the new Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital in Colón, by the Minister of Health Luis Francisco Sucre together with local and health authorities of the region, it was found that the work is 18% complete and that According to the contractor, it will be delivered in December 2024.

According to Sucre, this project is expected to generate 400 direct jobs and 200 indirect jobs for Colon residents by the end of the year.

“We are with the Governor, the owners of the different companies of the consortium and some of the workers and they have already started with the cleaning, installation of equipment and earthworks that are necessary to continue with the project,” explained the minister.

This work that has an investment of B/.256,362,033.32 and must be finished and equipped in a period of 30 months.

The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, gave the order last May to resume work on the new Amador Guerrero hospital.

The contract for the study, design, construction, equipment and financing of the Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital is in charge of the Consortium of Medical Facilities of Panama, made up of Promotora y Desarrollodora Mexicana de Infraestructura, SA (Proinfra), REC Engineering, SA and the company Transeq , SA
