Consortium of Universities rejects the statements of the Minister of Education about Sunedu

The Consortium of Universities, an association made up of 4 private universities: Universidad de Lima (ULima), Universidad del Pacífico (UP), Cayetano Heredia and the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), pronounced this Tuesday through regarding the statements given by the Minister of Education, Óscar Becerra, about Sunedu.

“Conflict of interests. Let’s list all the boards of directors that Sunedu has had and you will only find people who come from universities that are part of the Consortium of Universities: PUCP, Cayetano, UP and ULima. There are only directors of those universities and they do not have a conflict of universities. Because this is very typical of a certain ideological sector that considers that they own purity and truth,” Becerra said during the interview.

In this regard, it is read in the document that the consortium rejects the lightness of their statements because they would have, as they mention, the objective of damaging their prestige and that of their students, as well as that of the teachers and graduates of the signatory study houses. .
