Congress saves former Nation prosecutor Pedro Chávarry from being disqualified

The full of Congress approved last night constitutionally denounce the former prosecutor of the Nation Pedro Chávarry for the crimes of real and personal cover-up. The file that recommended his accusation, supported by the president of the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations, Rosio Torres, received the approval of 53 congressmen. Eighteen legislators opposed it —among Fujimorism and its allies—, and nine abstained.
