The Plenary of Congress meets this Tuesday, August 16 at 4:00 pmaccording to the president of the Legislative, Lady Camones Soriano. The summons, issued by the senior official of Parliament, Hugo Rovira, states that the meeting will take place in person in the hemicycle.
Congress debates modification of the ordinary commissions
According to the agenda published on the institutional portal, the national representation will seek to approve some modifications to the table of ordinary commissions for the 2022-2023 annual session period.
Likewise, the authorization to the head of the Board of Directors, Lady Camones (APP), will be evaluated for the processing of a Competence claim before the Constitutional Court (TC)regarding the rulings and precautionary measures of the Power of attorney in relation to the Ombudsman election and modification of the Board of Directors of Sunedu.
With this, a sector of the Parliament seeks if said rulings can be limited and restricted by the Judiciary through the issuance of a judicial resolution.
The agenda also proposes to evaluate a new summons against the Prime Minister, Anibal Torres Vasquez. The motion filed by Patricia Chirinos (Advance Country) responds to the statements made by the head of the PCM regarding the invocation of protest for the questions made by Congress against the Government of Pedro Castillo.
