The Cuban men’s volleyball team was included in the very strong group A of the qualifying tournament heading to the Olympic Games of Paris 2024, which will be held in Brazil from September 30 to October 8.
In addition to Cubans and hosts, the segment is completed by the squads of Italy, current world champion, along with those of Iran, Ukraine, Germany, the Czech Republic and Qatar, according to a note published by the sports portal Hit.

According to the regulations, the first two places of the three keys recently announced by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) would access the Olympic event in the French capital.

The new qualification system implemented will now also be used to define the nations qualified for the Paris 2024 women’s tournament and the qualifying matches will take place in China (group A), Japan (B) and Poland (C).
Cuba is not included among the applicants for the area of North, Central America and the Caribbean (Norceca), which were the Dominican Republic, Canada and Mexico (A), Puerto Rico (B) and the United States (C).
