This Saturday, the Cleaning Authority began the operation to dispose of the natural trees, used this Christmas, in the collection centers, installed on the Cinta Costera in the Mirador del Pacífico, the Usma premises and the vicinity of the Rommel Fernández stadium .
Cleaning workers received the drivers to load the trees to the shredding machine, which turned them into reusable material.
Alonso Filós, designated General Administrator of the Cleaning Authority, pointed out that the collection centers installed are intended to prevent them from being burned or thrown into the collection trucks.
Currently, the Cleaning Authority maintains three collection centers to collect Christmas trees, in different parts of the capital city.
This collection takes place from this Saturday the 7th to Thursday the 12th of January 2023, from 7:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the afternoon.
