COE eleva a seis las provincias en alerta

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) Increases to six provinces on green alert for possible flooding of rivers, streams and ravines, as well as flash or urban floods, due to the fact that a high pressure system will cause clouds and downpours.

The provinces on green alert are: María Trinidad Sánchez Espaillat Duarte Hato Mayor Hermanas Mirabal Puerto Plata.

For the rest of the day and during the early morning, the National Meteorological Office foresees cloudy with moderate to strong downpours locally, isolated thunderstorms and gusts of wind especially towards provinces in the regions: northwest, north, northeast, the eastern plain and the central mountain range.

Temperatures will continue to be pleasant to cool at night into the early hours of the day due to the time of year and a cool northeasterly wind.
