The Santo Domingo Economic and Social Development Council (CODESSD) celebrates its seventh anniversary since its founding as a private organization, whose objective is the development and execution of development programs and projects for the Dominican Republic.
Among numerous actions in favor of collective improvements and the common good of Dominicans, the non-governmental organization constantly works in favor of institutional strengthening in the Dominican Republic.
Likewise, CODESSD has stood out for its notable efforts to definitively build a culture of political and social debate in the country.
Since its existence, it has assumed an unwavering commitment to the environment, with specific projects and initiatives, such as a series of hygiene and cleaning operations on the important Ozama River, around whose tributary the “CODESSD Verde Women’s Network” has been created.
Other projects of social interest for which CODESSD has assumed responsibility include the drafting of the Bullying Law, electoral observation, public hearings and participation in the 12 dialogue tables for the different reforms being discussed in the country.
