The CNP against content regulation
For the year 2023, two important situations are expected that could affect the practice of journalism.
The first of them would be the reform of the Law on the Exercise of Journalism in Venezuela by the National Assembly.
And, on the other hand, the law that will regulate content on social networks, “we presume that this law will be criminalizing and we understand that it closes a space to virtual media, since the networks serve to inform and inform,” he said.
The dangerous thing about this law is that it will end up penalizing citizens in a dangerous way, causing greater caesura and control. What is suggested? “Start media and digital literacy programs,” said Edgar Cárdenas.
