The company Claro announced that it will invest this year in Argentina US$ 400 million in the framework of a meeting that Foreign Minister Santiago Cafieroduring his visit to that country, he met with the head of the company, Carlos Slim.
“This year the company Claro will invest 400 million dollars in Argentina. In Mexico with Carlos Slim we evaluated the investment plan and opportunities in 5G technology. They will end 2022 with one million fiber optic customers and 22 million mobile phone lines,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship himself stated through the social network Twitter.

The group led by Slim is one of the three mobile phone operators in Argentina and the only one of the three big ones that did not prosecute decree 690, which categorized mobile and fixed telephony, internet, mobile and fixed, and pay television as public services.
Cafiero is making an official visit to Mexico together with the Secretary of International Economic Relations, Cecilia Todesca Bocco.
In this context, this Thursday he held a working meeting with his counterpart, Foreign Relations Secretary Marcelo Ebrard, and another with Mexico’s Treasury Secretary, Rogelio Ramírez de la O, “with the aim of deepening the bilateral relationship and opening the market of that country for Argentine products”.
This Friday morning, the Foreign Minister and the Secretary of International Economic Relations led a breakfast with important Mexican businessmen.
They also have a meeting with the head of the Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, as reported.
