Civil Registry launches the ‘express passport’

The express passport will cost $150 dollars and last for 10 years. Find out how to access this service.

The Civil Registry of Ecuador will enable the service ‘express passport’ starting this Tuesday, February 8, 2022. This service will allow direct attention for those who need to get their passport urgently and have not requested a turn in advance.

The service will have cost of $150 and will be available at Quito and Guayaquil. The document issued has a duration of 10 years.

Those who wish to make use of this service should approach the agencies of the Civil registrationsince this is not found in the Virtual Agency. There they must request the service with these requirements:

  • Identity card.
  • Previous passport, in case of renewal.
  • Lost documents form, in case of loss or theft.
