The radio and television host described that the events took place 200 meters from his home, after concluding his newscast on Imagen Televisión, when two people approached the truck that he himself was driving and began to shoot at him.
He assured that what saved his life was the armor that his vehicle has.
In some photographs that Ciro Gómez Leyva uploaded to his social networks, two shots can be seen that left a mark on the left window of the truck, another on the windshield and two more bullet holes were left in the hood, all on the driver’s side.
Following the journalist’s complaint, the head of government Claudia Sheinbaum offered her solidarity and support for what happened on Thursday night.
