Church of Barreras joins the protesters against the government

MIAMI, United States.- This Friday night the people of Barreras, in Havana, took to the streets to protest against the government for the situation that the national blackout that keeps the country in the dark has generated in recent days.

“Last night we closed San Ramón y Real street, corner of the bodega, with a barricade and the military and their forces could not remove the barricade, because all of us united prevented it,” said some local residents.

In the images are seen to several residents behind a barricade that they set on fire with the aim that the repressive forces could not enter and the authorities finally responded to their claims.

The local church joined the protest by the residents of Barreras, and finally, according to the information, the electrical service was restored at 4:00 in the morning.

During the last few days, Cubans have taken to the streets in Cuba, and mainly in the capital, to demand that the government solve the problem of the current, which has millions without electricity since Hurricane Ian crossed Pinar del Río on Monday. September 26.

The protests this Friday night raised so much tension on the island that the communications monopoly, ETECSA, completely blocked the internet service, a mechanism that the regime uses so that what happens on the streets is not broadcast.

Blocked streets, barricades and repressive agents throughout the city, this is what happened on Friday, and this Saturday. Videos of what is happening in Cuba have been made public as Cubans regain access to the Internet.
