Chilibre water treatment plant completes work and operates at 100%

The technical staff of the National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN) completed the scheduled inspection and measurement work of the Aguas Claras tank at the Federico Guardia Conte water treatment plant, in Chilibre

The work culminated at noon, which has allowed the plant to operate at 100%. According to IDAAN, the water supply will be progressively restored in the affected areas.

During the works, the production of the water treatment plant was at 50%, so several sectors, such as the Tumba Muerto road, the Transistmica road, Clayton, La Locería, Betania, Miraflores, Altos de Miraflores, Dos Mares, Villa de la Fuente 1 and 2, Santa María, Hato Pintado and Altos de Panamá, had an irregular water supply or remained without it.

The high points of the district of San Miguelito, Panama North, from Las Cumbres to Buena Vista, and all the remote sectors of the network that comprise Panama East, from Pedregal to La Siesta de Tocumen, were also affected by lack of water.
