The Venezuelan government reported that 80% of the national population is already vaccinated against the coronavirus. In turn, the sectoral vice president of Social and Territorial Socialism, Mervin Maldonado, estimated that towards the end of 2021 it will immunize 90% of the country.
Currently the Venezuelan vaccination plan has vaccines Sputnik V (developed in Russia), Sinopharm (developed in China) and Abdala (developed in Cuba).
Despite the good announcement, government figures contrast with of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) which indicate that the population fully vaccinated against the coronavirus in Venezuela is 34.3%
