Chamber of Deputies recognizes Milagros Ortiz Bosch for her career

Santo Domingo.- The Chamber of Deputies presented a recognition to Dr. Milagros María Ortiz Bosch, for her outstanding personal and professional career marked by neatness, transparency and honesty, in favor of the best national causes.

The deputy proponent of the piece, Ramón María Ceballos, highlighted how Milagros Ortiz Bosch has dedicated her life working in favor of the best interests of the Dominican people.

“Today I feel greatly gratified, because we are recognizing a person who, despite being born in the midst of the dictatorship, learned to work for democracy,” said María Ceballos.

The resolution submitted to the Lower House to recognize Ortiz Bosch was unanimously approved by the representatives of the different political groups.

The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfredo Pacheco, highlighted the ethical and moral principles enjoyed by Dr. Milagros Ortiz Bosch, while specifying that recognizing her work is teaching present and future generations that honesty is a important value in human life.

While the honoree, and head of the General Directorate of Ethics and Government Integrity, Milagros Ortiz Bosch, thanked the Chamber of Deputies of the Republic for the recognition given to her person and recalled part of the experiences during her functions as a congressman.

“I come from a family in which principles were fundamental. They managed to bring me here to receive this recognition, honored by everyone, but grateful to everyone who allowed me to get here. I do not receive it alone, I receive it on behalf of all Dominicans who have believed that being citizens is the best category we have been able to have, ”she said.

“I aspire to a dream, that being a citizen who fulfills his functions and demands his rights is so common that it is not necessary to recognize it, but to recriminate those who do not fulfill it,” concluded Dr. Ortiz Bosch.
