The Chamber of Deputies approved today (8) a provisional measure (MP) that opens an extraordinary credit of R$ 479.9 million in the 2022 Budget to be allocated to municipalities that have suffered damage from the rains that have been occurring since December last year. The text goes to the Senate for analysis.
The funds will be allocated to infrastructure recovery works, such as building bridges and housing units and stabilizing slopes, benefiting states that have declared a state of emergency or state of public calamity. This is the fifth MP issued by the federal government to fund different types of relief actions for victims of the rains. They total R$ 2.348 billion.
The Ministry of Regional Development has so far registered resources for reconstruction of areas in 151 municipalities in 11 states: Alagoas, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Pará, Paraná and Rio de Janeiro. January.
