Starting at 8:00 a.m. this Wednesday, the census 2022a survey that had not been carried out since 2010, when 40,117,096 inhabitants were registered.
For today, it is planned that the day of the census 2022 extends until 6:00 p.m.; however, thanks to the high participation in the digital census, it is likely that the polls face-to-face sessions end before that time.
However, citizens still have some doubts about what should be done during the census 2022so here are the 5 most frequently asked questions:
1. Do I have to answer the face-to-face interview if I filled out the digital form?
The INDEC (National Institute of Statistics and Censuses) enabled this year a digital form that was available until the time the face-to-face census began.
Those who filled it out virtually should not do the interview with the census taker; however, they must wait for you at home to deliver the housing code that the system throws up when filling out the virtual survey. At that time, they complete the census.
2. What do I do if I can’t be home to meet the census taker?
The Government decreed this Wednesday as a national holiday, since it is mandatory to participate in the census. However, in cases of force majeure, citizens had to previously fill out the digital form.
Likewise, those who cannot stay at home to receive the INDEC team must leave with a family member, friend or neighbor, the housing code that they were given when completing the virtual census.
3. How do I identify the census taker?
To avoid insecurity problems, the 650,000 volunteers who will travel throughout the country will carry:
- A very clear chest
- An identification card with your name, surname and document number
- a QR code
- A telephone number (0800-345-2022) where people can verify the identity of the authorized census taker or make inquiries and complaints.
- A bag with the official logo and, with the questionnaire, a support table and supplies.
4. What documents must I give to the census taker?
To carry out the survey it is not necessary to submit any document, including the DNI. Only those who responded to the virtual survey must give the census taker the housing code that the system gave them to certify that they completed the form.
5. What can and cannot be done during the census?
During the day today, between 00:00 and 20:00 theatrical functions, cinematographic exhibitions and sports competitions will be prohibited.. Nor will commercial establishments, including food establishments, be open.
Between today and tomorrow the first data of the 2022 census will be revealed
Marco Lavagna, director of INDEC, announced that although the official data of the survey approximately, in 8 months and, in more than a year, all the systematized data will be available, preliminary information will be delivered between today and tomorrow.
This means that, from tonight, some provisional data will be revealed about what was the last national survey.
