Cases of femicide do not give up in Colombia: the two most recent in Antioquia

What happened in the last few hours in that region of the country has generated enormous consternation. In both cases of feminicide, the couples and/or ex-sentimental partners were involved.

They added that from 2021 to date there are more than 9,027 cases of women who have been advised to claim their rights from organizations with the same Ombudsman, quite revealing figures.

In relation to the main aggressors, there are their ex-partners with 31%; followed by unknown people (26%); couples (17%); acquaintances (17%) and relatives with 8%.

Regions with more cases

The regions of the country where the largest number of cases attended are concentrated in Norte de Santander, Bolívar, Valle del Cauca, Cauca, Chocó, Antioquia, Putumayo, Cundinamarca, Bogotá and Magdalena.

In many cases, the aggressor lowers his guard while planning to attack them again, after a prudent time to stop the harassment, he reappears to pretend to conciliate.

The case of Maryori, her ex-partner attacked her with a chemical

The unfortunate news was known this Wednesday after the attack with a chemical substance on a woman in a shopping center in Sabaneta, in Antioquia.

The woman who was identified as Maryori M., had suffered serious health problems after inhaling the chemical substance that is still unknown.

As will be remembered, she had been transferred to the Las Américas del Sur Clinic, in the municipality of Envigado, where she unfortunately died, according to local media.

Likewise, relatives of the fatality revealed this Wednesday that Maryori, a woman, had denounced her ex-partner and attacker, “for threats and assaults.”

Your ex-partner threw a chemical substance at you

The man identified as Luis Carlos Aguirre reached the 11th floor of the medical tower of said shopping center.

Already in the place, he spread an unknown chemical substance on his ex-sentimental partner. The woman works in that establishment.

They added that after the attack and in the midst of his escape, the subject made the decision to throw the chemical into his own body.

About what happened, El Colombiano revealed during the afternoon of this Wednesday that in a conversation with Mariano Atehortúa, Secretary of Security of Sabaneta, it was established that “the information that they have given us is that they lived together but that they had separated some time ago. due to domestic violence problems.

The Sabaneta Volunteer Fire Department was the first to go to the site. In the place they found Aguirre, his ex-partner and other people affected by the unknown chemical.

Yesica was beaten to death

In the last hours, another alleged case of femicide was known in the municipality of Caldas, Antioquia, the victim had been reported missing for four days

With his partner he had stayed at a hotel in the area and there, in the middle of an alleged fight, he lost his life.

The woman would have been repeatedly beaten and also had injuries caused by a blunt object. The judicial report indicates that her body was found wrapped in blankets, on the bed.

The alleged murderer was captured.

So far this year in Antioquia at least 10 women have been victims of femicide.
