The leader of the Civic Coalition, Elisa “Lilita” Carrió, reheated this Sunday the internal of Together for Change (JxC) by warning about the “idiocy” of those who do not understand that “what causes scandal is the truth” and Paraphrasing Jesus, he said that he came to “bring fire and division into this world.”
“Imbecility according to the (Spanish) Royal Academy is the absolute lack of understanding. What causes scandal is not the messenger or his tone, it is his ‘little patriarchal’ style. What causes scandal is the truth. Kisses,” Carrió said. on Twitter, in the midst of the debate that he unleashed in JxC days ago, when he attacked several leaders, especially from the PRO, foisting on them alleged relations with the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa.

In her new barrage, the former national deputy was accompanied by several of her main political swordsmen, including the president of the CC-ARI, Maximiliano Ferraro, who endorsed her statements within the opposition alliance that makes up her party, the PRO and the UCR.
Carrió added to his post the passage from the Bible (Luke 12:49-53) that says: “I have come to bring fire to this world, and I wish it were already burning! I have to go through a baptism, and what anguish even May it be fulfilled! Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the world? No, rather I have come to bring division.”
“Henceforth a family of five will be divided: three against two and two against three; father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and the daughter-in-law against the mother-in-law”, completes the expression of Jesus, according to the Holy Scriptures.

In Catholicism there are those who analyze that Jesus proposed fire to eliminate selfishness and promote charity and unity. Carrió attached a link from Dominicos.org that the Virgin Mary “in close communion with her Son, shows us the path and the goal of our final destination: Life-without-shadow-and-forever with those who await us in the Ultimate Homeland.”
He also added Dante Alighieri’s phrase “the darkest corner of hell is reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis”which was posted by the national deputy of her space Mónica Frade.

For his part, the also national deputy Juan Manuel López (CC-ARI) said: “The unity of Together for Change is guaranteed. We have been working for 8 years so that this unity is consistent, but we also work so that the core of values of this coalition is a Republican.
Ferraro tweeted that “many of us who make up Together for Change are, have been or intend to be elected by the people.”
“Being elected implies abandoning any personal interest to become an instrument of representation of the population and as such, we must be transparent at all times. Speaking to the people is not a political error, it is an attitude rarely seen in the policy, which should be the ethical and moral norm”.
A few days ago, Carrió said that JxC “has to have decent rules, they can’t have more business. I told Mauricio Macri that I’m tired of there being a double game, and I’m going to talk.”
“There are key people from Together for Change who do business” and “there is a partnership with massism,” he said. Among those targeted by Carrió were the former Minister of the Interior and deputy Rogelio Frigerio, the deputy Cristian Ritondo and the former head of the Lower House Emilio Monzó.
Those complaints earned him responses from leaders of the opposition alliance, such as Patricia Bullrich, who said: “As president of the PRO, I cannot look favorably on the degrading spectacle of Elisa Carrió, hitting leaders of Together for Change objecting to their ethical conduct. And this without looking at her own and that of her allies. Enough, Carrio”.
The governor of Jujuy and head of the UCR, Gerardo Morales, said that “your insulting attitude towards me as Governor is highly irresponsible. If there is someone who has had to confront the mafia and who does not negotiate impunity, it is me.”.
The head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, maintained that “I have deep respect for Lilita, one of the founders of the space together with Mauricio, but I do not agree with her statements these days about different members of Together for Change. This is not the way”. He added: “It’s very healthy to have internal discussions, but grievances are the limit.”
