The president of the Unity Political Movement, Francisco “Paco” Carreira, described as ridicule and abuse a viralized video on social networks in which a group of deputies appear celebrating, after the re-election of the board of directors of the National Assembly, with bottles of liquor brand of the best quality and open bar.

Carreira said that while some 300,000 Panamanians eat a cable because they do not have a job and others are forced to limit their economic resources due to the high cost of fuel and food, but there is a group of deputies who live the high life with the taxes that all Panamanians pay.

“There are deputies who have to ‘get them a red card,’ because they have failed the people,” he said.

The lawyer, who aspires to compete for the second time, for the free nomination, for the Presidency of the Republic, has reiterated the need to clean up the Assembly in the next elections in May 2024 and that to achieve this, a bench of 40 deputies is needed independent, committed to the Homeland, in order to put an end to the corruption that affects our country
