Carnivals 2023 may be held due to a decrease in the percentage of positivity of Covid-19

After two years without being held, one of the most anticipated parties by Panamanians will finally be held again in 2023, as announced by President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen during his work tour in the Chepo district.

The president announced that given the drop in the percentage of positivity due to Covid-19, carnivals will be allowed to be held again, in the same way, he indicated that fairs, parades and the Festival of the Thousand Polleras can be held.

“I take the opportunity to announce that those who are interested in carnival, we are going to have carnivals. Those who are interested in the Thousand Polleras, we are going to have the Thousand Polleras. Those who are interested in fairs with cavalcades, we are going to have them, ”she indicated.
