Cantv warns that it will cut the definitive service to those who accumulate debts of two months

Cantv recommended that citizens pay the bills for the services offered by the state-owned telephone company on time to avoid inconveniences

The National Telephone Company of Venezuela (Cantv) insisted that users of the services offered by the state-owned telephone company pay their bills on time. Otherwise, he warned, they will be permanently suspended.

Through your account InstagramCantv indicated that those customers who enjoy both fixed telephony and internet connection will be likely to lose the service forever if they allow the debt of two consecutive bills to accumulate.

Therefore, they recommend visiting the Cantv portal to review the debt and pay at the bank. Remember that online banking offers the possibility of canceling the telephone bill and the amount to be paid is recorded there.

The announcement made by Cantv generated the displeasure of citizens on social networks, where many claim that there is a monthly charge for a service that often does not work.

In mid-September 2021, the president of Cantv, M/G Jesús Aldana, began a campaign to raise awareness among the population regarding the payment of telephone bills. There he began to indicate that the user will be susceptible to service cuts if he does not pay the debts on time, however small they may be.

Aldana then explained that in the event that there are people who are not enjoying the service but are still being charged, they must go to the customer service offices to notify that there is a fault and the charge is “automatically” suspended. It will be resumed when the reported faults are solved. In that sense, she stressed that fundraising has improved by 80%; money that will help carry out the necessary maintenance work.

Julio Cubas, the president of the Venezuelan Observatory of Public Services (OVSP), detailed on Thursday, April 21, that many citizens have had to acquire private services, such as the issue of internet connectivity, to correct the failures that have occurred with those provided by the State.
