The priest Isidoro Cabral Mosqueda was sentenced to six years in prison for sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl, who was an altar boy at his church. For the Prosecutor’s Office there would be more victims.
Prosecutor Héctor Garay explained that today the oral and public trial against the priest concluded Isidoro Cabral Mosquedfor the punishable act of child sexual abuse. The Trial Court, after producing all this evidence, found him guilty, sentencing him to six years of imprisonment.
“He worked as a parish priest in a town in the northeast and, in that role, he made those sexual acts with a girl who was as an altar boy of the church”, explained the prosecutor in dialogue with GEN/Nación Media.

In this regard, it indicated that in the case there is only one victim, but it is not ruled out that there are more affected. The complaint arose from various comments within the school. Apparently, several students were investigating the priest’s name and there he jumped that he was already supporting a conviction for an act of sexual assault in a community.
“So from there, one of the students said the father is probably capable of that, since he did such a thing to her,” said Garay.
Regarding this case, it is worth mentioning that the fact registered in 2018, in the town of Mayor Otaño.
The priest had already been condemned for something similar to two years but with suspensionbut equally, the church did not remove him from office. mWhile he continued as a parish priest, he committed another act, and today it culminated in the trial.
