Cabrera: «Fraud crimes have increased by 4%»

James Cabrera, Prosecutor of the Section of Crimes Against Economic Assets, talks to us about the different types of scams that are occurring in our country and that have increased with the use of technological means.

One of the most common forms of fraud is offering a job position for a certain amount of money in exchange. There is also the form of blackmail where they say that a family member is sick or kidnapped.
In addition to the alleged loan in exchange for an amount of money before disbursing the loan.

Fraud crimes have increased by 4% and the province of Panama has received 1,385 complaints this year. Followed by Panama West, Chiriquí.

He points out that to avoid being victims of fraud, it is necessary to protect your personal data, especially what is published on social networks.

There are also scams involving alleged altered electronic payments where they tell you that you have already made a payment but they only alter the document without depositing any money.
