The people continue to stand, together and united, after battling four years ago when the empire, on February 23, 2019, intended to invade Venezuela, said the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, on Thursday.
During the act held in Táchira state for the fourth anniversary of the Battle from Los Puentes, Cabello stressed that Venezuela taught imperialism and its lackeys a lesson on February 23.
“We only ask for respect from the international community, that no one mess with our country, today we recognize the battle, but also history,” he said.
“Many personalities came to see the invasion of Venezuela, but they underestimated the Venezuelan people, they thought they were going to scare us, they don’t know what we are capable of doing when they mess with us, with our loved ones, because we love our country », he added.
We defend the Homeland, there are those bad children who are now divided. Remember everyone wanted to take pictures?” he said.
The purpose of the entire plan was that “the United States sought to seize the country, they do not want oil, they want to steal our oil,” he emphasized.
He stressed that on February 23, during the battle, in addition to the people and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the police forces also defended their homeland.
Cabello at the beginning of his words greeted the people of Táchira with great affection, and remembered the facts. “There were more than 20 days of siege, they tried to invade Venezuela through other parts of the country. Táchira, Bolívar and Zulia were besieged by the bad sons of this country,” he indicated.
“History is being written by this victorious people who did not surrender that day. That day the people were determined to win, they tell me that Dario (Vivas) sat down with a stone in his hand, he kept that stone,” he narrated.
humble and simple town
A humble and simple people defeated the claims of an empire that had plans to invade Venezuela, always in unity, putting the homeland above, stressed the governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal.
“The homeland triumphed that February 23, four years ago, today the situation has changed diametrically, presidents Maduro and Petro have made this area, of violence and darkness without hope, begin to renew itself with hope,” said Bernal.
He recalled that “a few weeks ago both presidents signed an agreement for commercial exchange. This is thanks to the work of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the people, which is why today we have peace that was achieved in perfect civic-military union.
“The humble people steeled themselves with rocks and with a combined strategy we faced the empire,” he said.
In this sense, he said that “every February 23 we are obliged to remember this date, because when 100 years pass and someone passes by here there must be a symbol that remembers the struggle of the people.”
He informed that a monument to the resistance of a people who defeated the empire will be made.
“The effort of Commander Chávez has been worth it and it will continue to be worth it, because we have shown that when the people want and focus there is no empire, no obstacle, no threat that is capable of stopping the brave people of Venezuela,” he remarked.
Colombia and Venezuela united
Governor Bernal emphasized that “Colombia can never be allowed to be a base to attack Venezuela. Today we have defeated 200 years of the attack of the Colombian bourgeoisie, from them towards us, treason, and from us towards them, love».
Bernal wished the Colombian government of President Gustavo Petro success, “because his peace is the peace of Venezuela.”
“I feel proud to be together with the people and we raise the balloons of peace, something unimaginable a few years ago,” he said.
He warned that more threats are coming, but the empire will find us united to continue triumphing.
union and organization
The union and organization of the Venezuelan people always defeat the claims of invasion and destabilization against the Constitutional Government, the empire and its lackeys, highlighted earlier this Thursday the governor of Apure, Eduardo Piñate.
“When the oligarchy attacks our people, unity and organization is what defeats them, that’s what Hugo Chávez taught us and that’s how we continue to do it for our president Nicolás Maduro,” he said at the ceremony held to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the Battle of The bridges.
At the beginning of his words, Piñate narrated what happened on February 23, 2019 when the oligarchy and the empire tried to invade Venezuela.
“We are here four years later. Here we are remembering the concert that was held on the other side of the border, and that the next day we fought on the Simón Bolívar bridge, in Ureña,” he added.
He recalled that the aggression against Venezuela came from the imperialists and the Lima Group, “let us remember that several presidents came to witness what the invasion of Venezuela was going to do.”
Dignified and united people
Despite this, Piñate said, “they found themselves face to face with this dignified people, a united people, a conscious people, who are the people of Venezuela and the vanguard that was represented by the people of Apure, Caracas, Mérida, from all over the country.” , especially from the Tachirense people because they fought and put their skins ahead,” he added.
He also pointed out that currently the conditions have changed and “the lackeys are no longer there, today there is another government that has opened the doors for us to work, with differences, yes, but working together for Latin American and Caribbean integration.”
In this sense, “we ratify the commitment to fight until our lives to defend national sovereignty, as Bolívar and Chávez dreamed of.”
Recognition
In the act, a recognition was made to the men and women in uniform who were next to the civilians battling for the defense of national sovereignty and independence.
Battle of the Bridges
This Thursday, February 23, marks the fourth anniversary of the revolutionary action of the Venezuelan people during the Battle of Los Puentes, staged on the Colombian-Venezuelan border, in which the imperial invasion plans and the media campaign against the country were defeated.
The plan was orchestrated by sectors of the Venezuelan right, the US empire led at that time by Donald Trump and the presidents Sebastián Piñera for Chile, Iván Duque for Colombia and Mario Abdo Benítez for Paraguay.
The objective was to control the region and once inside the country, with the support of irregular foreign forces, mercenaries and paramilitaries, generate false flag events to legitimize a large-scale operation by an “international coalition” and detonate the alleged treason in the Bolivarian National Armed Force.
Despite these events, the Venezuelan people together with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, in a perfect civil-military union, defended the peace and sovereignty of the country, defeating the conspiracy and invasion plans.
