The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, said that the São Paulo Forum represents the space of the peoples, as he expressed it during the installation of the Expanded Working Groups, at the International University of Communications in Caracas.
Cabello highlighted that the São Paulo Forum meets to advance and to build from there “the importance of the unity of social movements. We must remain united in any circumstance, be a solid block. They call us all kinds of things, because they think they are going to blackmail us. This is the house of the São Paulo Forum”.
He stressed that the meeting takes place after a difficult year due to the pandemic “we are here trying to defend our Homeland, but it has not been easy. They have blocked all the accounts of our country, our gold, our companies and a good part of the world applauds these sanctions”.
The first vice president of the PSUV, stressed the unity in the revolutionary movement, “when Commander Chávez decided to create the PSUV, he called comrades from other forces, some joined and others are part of the Great Patriotic Pole.”
This unity is important to contain the threats from imperialism, “the problems of the Venezuelans are solved by the Venezuelans, we do not accept interference, we do not need interference from anyone.”
We have made 29 elections thanks to the alerts, we are standing. We are ready to continue advancing, “we are committed to sticking together. Commander Chávez was talking about the union,” Cabello said.
