The Minister of the Environment, Juan Cabandié, delivered resources for 50 million pesos to the Chubut town of El Hoyo to restore the area damaged by the fires that affected that town and others in the Andean region a year ago, that portfolio reported this Friday.
The funds will be used for plantations, seeds, forest management with integrated livestock, harvesting and management of invasive alien species, among other initiatives.
While, the investment destined for fire fighting and prevention in this region is 1,008 million pesos.

“It is very important to be back in the Andean region. After what happened with the fire on March 9, 2021, we got together with the mayors and the province to work immediately to provide it with the necessary infrastructure to avoid what happened a year ago,” Cabandié said.
And he added that during this time “We have brought machinery and equipment to reduce the combustible material that often causes the interface fire that destroys the houses.”
