Bitcoin Pizza Day, an event celebrated around the world, will be held this Sunday in Argentina with a meeting in Buenos Aires that will bring together fans, developers, and entrepreneurs.

As in different places in the world, the meeting -which will take place from 7:00 p.m. in Espacio Darwin, in Palermo- will include music, networking, merchandising and games.

The initiative commemorates the first purchase of goods made with the cryptocurrency in the world: two pizzas for 10 thousand bitcoins.
The person who made the purchase was Laszlo Hanyecz, one of the first adopters of the cryptocurrency in 2010, a few months after its launch.
The purchase, which was worth $41, is now valued at $389 million, according to the Bitcoin Pizza Index.

Since this fact, “Bitcoin Pizza Day” is celebrated every May 22, celebrating the first transaction of a physical product with cryptocurrencies.
